Belarus today recalls a tragic date in history. 35 years ago, the largest man-made disaster occurred at Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
Reconstruction of the affected regions is under the personal supervision of the President. The route of the President's working trips has been traditional for many years. Alexander Lukashenko gave additional instructions for the improvement and development of the region today during his working trip. The task is to clearly define the land plots where it is possible and necessary to build housing.
The memory lane in Bragin Park will be dedicated to the tragic date. 35 maples symbolize 35 years since the disaster. Alexander Lukashenko took part in laying it down today. A memorial sign was also installed there. A dialogue was held about the future of the region. There is a request for it. For decades, these lands have been restored in our country.
Cities are reviving, people are returning, social facilities are opening 35 years after the accident. The feat of Chernobyl heroes shocked the whole world. They deliberately sacrificed themselves for the sake of the lives of others. The Chernobyl accident united the Belarusians to preserve the affected regions.
Those who experienced how difficult it was to restore the region did not miss the opportunity to personally thank the President for this. A spontaneous, but very sincere conversation with words of support, about health, youth, and the future of our country was held.
