Modern sovereign policy of Belarus should be State for People

10 июня 2022
A statement to this effect was made by President Alexander Lukashenko at the national seminar on updating methods and forms of work with the population at the local level.

The Head of State pointed out that at various times in Belarus' history the country has always adhered to the set standards of human life: social justice in society, equal rights and opportunities for all citizens, national and cultural values and traditional way of life. Information and communication technologies today occupy an important place in the public life of society, in particular, in the organization of interaction between the authorities and the population, in providing effective feedback in this process. The well-established contact between government agencies and citizens allows for more efficient and fair implementation of the state work.

The current economic and political situation was also discussed. The head of state stressed that if someone in Belarus is trying to benefit from the situation with the sanctions, the government will prevent these attempts.

"The current stage has one peculiarity. I carefully analyze the processes that are taking place in our society. There are certain difficulties in connection with the sanctions: logistics are disrupted, something else. And many of our Belarusians want to use it and have already taken advantage of it, to support the state, to occupy the niche that has been vacated, to fit into the new logistics: some people need spare parts, some people need medicine, some people are offered something else to supply. But I want everyone to understand (especially you, the entire elite of our state, the decisions we make depend on us) that there is no way to make a profit, to fill your pockets from the situation".

Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus:
Bribery, non-payment of taxes and other crimes will be cracked down. If only we refuse from this policy, we will go through the way of our brotherly Ukraine.

Alexander Lukashenko stressed that Belarus will fight more effectively against fakes. Ultimately, this builds confidence in the official media.

"We understand how important today is to make the best and most reasonable use of opportunities, including digital resources, to build interaction with the media. We see how instantly the information, sometimes the most blatant fakes, spreads, creating the basis for social explosions. We see how important it is to respond in a timely manner to the fakes, to explain the decisions made to the people, and to involve them in the governance process, to respond adequately to the creative initiatives that come from the people," the President noted.

"It has been said that the fakes (as it happens) are colorful, flashy, adjusted to all sorts of easy instincts of our people. And they are, as the people say, very quick and easy to get into. They are more interesting than our "boring" lives. And that's the difficulty we have to face in dealing with these fakes. But there's no getting away from it. We have made up our minds and will fight these lies more effectively, because it can eventually turn the society upside down, as we've seen," said Alexander Lukashenko.

The event was attended by about 700 people including top officials, as well as those who hold senior positions in government agencies and organizations, representatives of the apparatus of the Council of Ministers, the Council of the Republic, the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, management of government agencies, the Presidential Administration, representatives of regional and district executive committees and local organizations in cities, local councils of deputies, the Presidential Management Academy, public associations and expert community, heads of the leading media.

It was also noted at the seminar that the demands of Belarusians are growing, and the authorities need to match this.

The final message for managers of any level at the moment is as follows: everyone should not only work honestly and effectively, but also make efforts to preserve peace and tranquility in Belarus.
