А. Lukashenko takes part in large-scale Symbol of Unity forum of patriots

Upon his arrival from Tajikistan, the head of state joined the culminating festivities on the occasion of the new Belarusian holiday, the People's Unity Day.

The large-scale forum of patriots "Symbol of Unity" continues at Minsk-Arena. The eternal and favorite hits have already sounded from the stage. Each of them had something to say about patriotism, latest events, and their own perception of the concept of "unity". 

On the Day of the National Unity, Minsk arena welcomes a forum of patriots. Looking back, the events of last year are perceived more like a bad dream. Now the country has a new national holiday and a new reminder that we do not need turmoil in our recent history. 

The event is a historic and a sacred date for all Belarusians. More than 80 years ago our country was given a chance to build its own state on its own soil. Even after a busy business trip, the President could not but support the patriots. 

 The People's Unity Day in the year of the same name is not only about historical justice. The day is a reminder of the ordeal our ancestors went through. 2020 was a shock. But now we know everyone who wanted to make a mess in the center of Europe and deprive Belarus of its sovereignty. Many are still not satisfied. They are trying to drag Belarus into dirty games and conflicts.  September 17 is a new state holiday, which can be considered as the day of the reunification of the Belarusian people.
