The President of Belarus continues working events dedicated to the medical topics.

The Head of State visited the National Scientific and Practical Center of Oncology and Medical Radiology in Borovlyany today. Alexander Lukashenko inquired about how effectively the cancer care system has developed in the country for two decades. The President was informed that Belarus managed not only to preserve the base, but also to expand the possibilities of cancer care for patients. The created system is unique in many respects, and there is great interest in the experience of its work abroad. It was noted that against the background of the epidemiological situation, people began to visit doctors less often. There was a certain decrease in the detection rate of oncological diseases. However, this is a worldwide trend. They also talked about the export of services - rendering assistance to foreign cancer patients. This service is quite in demand among the foreigners. In this regard, Alexander Lukashenko drew attention to the fact that treatment of the same quality is much more expensive in the West.

The topic of vaccines, including those from Covid-19, the worldwide politicization of this issue, and the desire to make big money from the problem were also touched upon. By the way, the Head of State also visited the Minsk Regional Hospital. The President got familiar with the procedure for providing medical care to patients in re-profiled departments.
