The long-awaited gift was received in November by the residents of the capital, the third subway line was put into operation! This day will certainly go down in the history of Minsk metropolis. While opening a new branch, the President noted the development of the sub-land and political stability. Minsk should be gradually transferred to electric transport!

According to Alexander Lukashenko, it is important to pay special attention to tram traffic, to make it as quiet as possible. There will be plenty of electricity to improve infrastructure. The first power unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant has already been included in the unified energy system of the country. The President also touched upon the support of the population. In particular, Alexander Lukashenko noted that he had signed a decree on increasing pensions.

In total, up to 17 stopping points are planned on the third line: from Kurasovshchina to Zeleny Lug through the city center. This will make road traffic more comfortable in the capital. First, four stations will work: Kovalskaya Sloboda, Vokzalnaya, Ploshchad Frantishka Bogushevicha, and Yubileinaya Ploshchad. Alexander Lukashenko proposed to construct a subway to the north of Minsk, where a smart city will be built. And it is necessary to continue the blue subway line towards Smolevichi.

President about his dream: to start construction of the fourth line

"Today modern trains will run along the new line. Belarus will go further towards new goals, the head of state outlined plans for the future. We will finish building the third line, which may have up to 17 stations. And my dream: maybe, at least start a megaproject for the construction of the fourth line, which will relieve Minsk ring road. Due to this, in the foreseeable future, full-fledged transport hubs will be created between all types of urban and suburban transport."

The President was informed about the construction of the new branch. A mechanized complex "Alesya" was purchased to this end. Thanks to it, the pace of tunneling increased 5 times. Separately, the head of state noted the safety of the third line. The stations are equipped with transparent glass protective fences. The President was especially interested in the situation in the team. Alexander Lukashenko is convinced that the absolute majority of Belarusians are hardworking and decent. By the way, more than 3000 people were involved in this process.

Alexander Lukashenko recalled that at one time he had to make a fundamental decision about whether to continue the development of this type of transport.

“There was an idea in the mid-90s, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, when it was difficult to cease the existence of Minsk subway," the President said.

However, despite the difficulties, new stations of the second line were completed. "2 lines were built and the main stations were built during those dire times. And then I made a decision. I said: we will have the subway," Alexander Lukashenko pointed out. He explained that the decision was primarily due to the desire to preserve the domestic school of subway construction. "After all, few cities in the world are engaged in the construction of the subway. And I felt sorry. If we stop, there won't be this great school," the head of state explained. He said a decision was made on the construction of the third subway line in 2012.

The official opening was held, everything as required by tradition. The symbolic key, red ribbon. A travel ticket for 20 trips was gifted to the President. New stations for passengers will start working on November 7 at 12.30 am. A test drive and an excursion were held today
