On this day exactly 75 years ago, a partisan’s parade was held in Minsk. This festive procession in the Belarusian capital showed strength and triumph over the enemy to our people. More than thirty thousand fighters of thirty partisan brigades passed through the hippodrome site. About fifty thousand civilians welcomed the liberators.
The exposition of the State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War today holds many witnesses of the Partisan parade in Minsk. Among the rarities are banners of partisan divisions, personal belongings and weapons of fighters, photos and documents.
