The Scientific and Practical Center for Organ and Tissue Transplantation in Minsk has performed more than half a thousand liver transplants. This was announced today by head of the center Oleg Rummo. The 500th transplantation was held on Saturday, October 28, and lasted 5 hours. The patient feels well.
The first liver transplant was performed in April 2008. Now there are about 90 people on the waiting list for a liver transplant.
