President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree to grant citizenship to 380 Ukrainians. The relevant decree was signed today by the President. Most of them came with their families, and many of them already have children here. Thus, the applications of 37 families with children, including multi-child families were satisfied. This will be a real Christmas present for them.
More than 2,300 people from Ukraine become citizens of Belarus since August 2021
The corresponding order was made by the Head of State in summer during the Big Conversation. Since then, 1,076 Ukrainians have been naturalized. First of all, these are the persons who arrived from the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. In addition, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 1,234 citizens of Ukraine have acquired Belarusian citizenship through a simplified procedure. In total, after the "Big Conversation with the President" more than 2, 300 people from Ukraine became the citizens of Belarus.
