22 tons of humanitarian aid delivered to Belarus from China

The support of Belarus and China to each other is an important factor in stepping up bilateral relations. Another humanitarian aid was delivered today to Belarus. The aircraft contained personal protective equipment, as well as medical equipment. Part of the cargo was purchased by a representative of UNICEF in Belarus, as well as one of the private companies. 

IL-76 aircraft with humanitarian aid from China landed at Minsk National Airport at 11:10. This is the 4th aid lot from the Chinese government. The military pilots worked in cooperation with the Ministry of Emergencies of Belarus. 

The cadets of the University of Civil Protection loaded the vehicles of the Ministry of Emergencies with the delivered medications, after that they will be taken to the warehouses of the Ministry of Health.

Boris Androsyuk, Deputy Minister of Health of Belarus: “A priority will be given to the regions with the intensive rate of the infection. Protective equipment and 100 oxygen concentrators will be handed over today. I would like to thank UNICEF and Wargaming for helping us.” 

Rashed Mustafa Sarwar, UNICEF representative in Belarus: “The equipment that the pandemic requires is hard to purchase. Therefore, there were a lot of negotiations on that. We were incredibly lucky to have a large logistics hub in Copenhagen to organize this supply.”

Our country sent two planes, which contained medicines, masks, suits, gloves, and disinfectants, at the end of January. 

100 tons of humanitarian aid was delivered by 4 planes to Belarus from China.

Anatoly Dolgolevets, Deputy Minister for Emergency Situations of Belarus: “The Ministry of Emergencies delivered the 4th humanitarian aid from the PRC a the order of the Head of the State. I would like to thank the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Defense, and the Chinese party.” 

The Belarusian-Chinese partnership and friendship will continue in the future.
