By Inna Pilevich: Less than an hour is left before the closing ceremony of the XXV International Arts Festival Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk. It has lasted for a week, featuring 130 events and 5,500 participants from 45 countries. The final concert will take place on the stage of the Summer Amphitheatre.
The winners of the international children’s music contest Vitebsk 2016 were announced a few hours ago. The results of the adult competition will be announced soon. The last scores for participants of Slavic Bazaar’s International Pop Song Performers Contest were announced around midnight at the Summer Amphitheatre in Vitebsk. Belarusian Alexei Gross is currently at number one with a total of 157 points, followed by Adam from Kazakhstan and singers from Italy and Moldova. The jury will hold a closed meeting to announce the final results at tonight’s closing ceremony. The winner will receive 20,000 dollars.
Despite the closing ceremony, Slavic Bazaar’s entertainment programme will continue till Wednesday. Tonight, the Summer Amphitheatre will host a disco night featuring the world’s best DJs, the headliner being DJ Pierre Sarkozy, a son of France’s former president.
Tomorrow will see two evening concerts by chanson stars.
