People's Artist of the USSR Vladimir Spivakov was awarded one of the highest awards in Belarus - Order of Francisc Skorina. The ceremony was held yesterday in Moscow. In accordance with the decree of the President of Belarus, Vladimir Spivakov was awarded for exceptional contribution to the development and popularization of classical art, great achievements in strengthening the Belarusian-Russian cultural relations.
Foundation of Vladimir Spivakov has been supporting talented children from Belarus for 20 years. Maestro recognizes that such support for young talents is his life's work. Due to numerous requests of the Belarusian public Spivakov intends to show his unique project in Minsk again - a demonstration of the famous Charlie Chaplin film City Lights accompanied by live music performed by the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia.
