By Yulia Tokar: Yesterday Belarus celebrated the most vibrant and magical folk holiday – Kupala Night, or Kupalle. Traditionally, young people were jumping over a fire, telling fortunes, doing circle dancing and looking for the fern flower (Paparats-kvetka). People call this day the holiday of fire and water.
The celebrations culminated in a fire show and the lighting of a Kupala fire.
