President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated the organisers, participants and guests of the 11th Festival of National Cultures, which has launched today in Grodno.
The festival is featuring 37 nations, including both Belarus’ closest neighbours - Russians, Poles, Ukrainians, Lithuanians and Latvians - and representatives of other countries, such as China, Iran, Korea, Lebanon, the United States, the United Kingdom and Venezuela. According to the organisers, the foreign visitors’ attention to the festival demonstrates the respect for Belarus’ national and cross-cultural policy.
The festival opened with a large-scale procession of all the nationalities in Grodno’s central street, gathering thousands of spectators.
