4 декабря 2013

By Olga Maslovskaya: Traditionally, it is dedicated to the birthday of the well-known music critic and musicologist Ivan Sollertinsky, who was born in Vitebsk. The program of the anniversary forum features classical music concerts, scientific readings and exhibitions. The festival has stepped beyond concert halls. Traditional scientific readings dedicated to the history of Vitebsk's musical culture and topical art issues are being held these days in Vitebsk.

The grandson of composer Shostakovich, Dmitri, has presented his photo exhibition of 19 black-and-white photographs. The festival's opening ceremony was sold out. Another premiere concert is scheduled for tonight - Alexander Knyazev will perform Bach's Goldberg Variations.
