Belarus hopes to join Russian publishing projects timed to the 500th anniversary of Belarusian book printing. This date will be celebrated next year. Moscow hosted the round table "Belarusian Literature in Russia: Today and Tomorrow." It was attended by the Information Minister Liliya Ananich. One proposal is to create a special program of the Union State, which will help stimulate the translation of Belarusian literature, as well as to establish cooperation between the publishers of Belarus and Russia.
The meeting was held on the eve of a book festival in Moscow. Tomorrow "Red Square" Book Festival will be held in the city center. The Russian reader will be able to meet both the classics of Belarusian literature and modern authors.
