The 10th International Festival of Puppet Theatres starts in Minsk today. At the opening, the Brest Puppet Theatre will present its play New Land. During the 4 days of the festival, you can see 14 performances from 7 countries. For the first time, the Festival has troupes from Iran, Bulgaria, and Spain. The programme of the forum includes both premieres and highly-acclaimed performances. Most productions are addressed to an adult audience.
The performances of the forum will be held at 5 venues. The main ones are the chamber stage of the Yanka Kupala Theatre, the small stage of the Youth Theatre, as well as the Belarusian Puppet Theatre.
