By Nina Mozheiko: Belarus’ cultural identity is among the priorities of Belarus’ development for the next five years, which is especially relevant in the Year of Culture. The state will continue supporting initiatives in this sphere. Modern Belarusian artists are known both at home and abroad for their bold creative experiments. One of them is the Art Islands exhibition.

The project of the National Contemporary Art Centre is an example of creative initiative and cultural entrepreneurship. By the way, this is what is expected from artists by the President.

This is the second attempt to incorporate objets d'art into an urban environment. Last year, such a makeshift gallery was visited by more than a million people, including foreign guests.

The exhibition will be running until Minsk City Day, which this year falls on 10 September.
