7 сентября 2016

The gallery of Belarus’ Foreign Ministry has for the first time hosted a fashion show dedicated to a presentation of the photo exhibition Forest, Flax, Beauties as part of the art project Zacharavanne.

A collection of clothing made of linen, leather, wool and cotton was created by French designer of Belarusian origin Yuri Kot specifically for the art project Zacharavanne. Photographer Irena Gudiyevskaya and the model agency Tamara Studio represent Belarus’ major brands: "forests, flax and Belarusian girls’ beauty."

The exhibition was opened by Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Elena Kupchina.

Launched at Belarus’ National History Museum a year ago, Zacharavanne has been exhibited in Slovenia, Hungary, Poland, Lithuania and several cities in the US. The art project was also presented at the 2016 Slavic Bazaar Festival in Vitebsk. The author’s plans include a new international project.

The art project Zacharavanne, which consists of 90 photographs and two clothing collections, presents the image of the modern Belarus in various countries across the globe.
