Union State Day in Vitebsk has traditionally started with the laying of flowers at the monument to soldiers-liberators in the Victory Square. Later, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota met with journalists at the international press center. The conversation touched upon the implementation of new Union State programs for the coming years, as well as priority areas in Belarus-Russia cooperation. Union State Day was traditionally marked by visiting Ilya Repin’s Museum-Estate Zdravnevo, where a round table discussion is currently taking place. The final Union State Day event — an anniversary concert by the Syabry ensemble — will take place tonight at the Summer Amphitheater to be broadcast live on the TV channels Belarus 1 and Belarus 24 at 22:00.
