On the birthday of Vladimir Mulyavin, the concert programme "The Wreath" on the poems of Maxim Bogdanovich has returned to the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society. The concert show premiered in New York in 1991 at the United Nations Library.

After the return of the legendary ensemble Pesniary from the United States, the programme was presented at the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society. Since then, the concert show has never been performed in full. Some songs from the cycle became Belarusian pop classics. But, unfortunately, the musical material of the programme has not preserved. It was restored years later from audio recordings, which were given by a fan of Pesniary to the National Academic People's Orchestra of Belarus named after Zhinovich.

In memory of Vladimir Mulyavin, musicians and leading soloists performed 15 songs, which can rightly be considered Mulyavin’s legacy in the 20th century.

Also, especially for the birthday anniversary of the famous musician, the Belarusian State Philharmonic society presented a documentary about the life and work of the great Vladimir Mulyavin – "Pesniar in Heart and Mind" (The Singer in Heart and Mind).

Both the concert and the documentary will be broadcast by TV Channel Belarus 3 on 26 January. It was on this day – 15 years ago – that the great singer and songwriter passed away.

Today, Vladimir Mulyavin would have turned 77 years old.
