By Dmitry Smirnov: The year’s most anticipated music event – the 23rd Polish Festival of Belarusian Song - took place in Bialystok’s Opera Theatre with over 20 ensembles participating in the final gala concert. By the way, a total of about 60 music groups, duets and solo vocalists competed for the right to perform on the main stage.
The first Belarusian song festival took place in Poland in 1970.
