The professional jury, which assesses the contestants today, has a great experience both in their own stage performances and in preparation for the Eurovision Song Contest.
62 applications were submitted by children aged 9 to 14 from all regions of Belarus. They are both solo performers and music groups.
Songs in the Russian and Belarusian languages participate in the selection. One can also use a foreign language, but not more than 40% of the entire text. In addition, the claimed compositions should not be commercially released or performed publicly before May, 1, 2018. All contestants sing live today, this is an obligatory requirement. At the moment, more than half of the contestants have already performed.
Based on the results of the audition, the jury will determine from seven to ten contestants to participate in the final - a traditional gala show on the air of Belarus 1 and 24, which will take place no later than on September 15. Junior Eurovision Song Contest-2018 will be held in Minsk on November 25.
