Unique exhibition of decorative Spanish porcelain opens in Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus

20 works of the limited ballet-themed series is the property of the historical porcelain collection of the Lladro Museum which has been preserving its traditions for over 60 years.

Larisa Gulyakevich reports: The statues are handmade. Lladro porcelain is exhibited in Hermitage, the Royal Museum of Art and History in Brussels and the National Museum of Ceramics in Valencia, as well as many other cities of the world. World famous artists, designers and sculptors are involved in the work on the collections. The figures are sculpted in limited editions and exist only in several copies.
The statues are created by the sculptor Vicente Martinez after the costumes of Leon Bakst.
