Leading Belarusian and Russian experts discuss Union State theater culture

Moscow’s Bolshoi Theater is marking its 241st anniversary. This is the only theater that has its own video channel. Its staff comprises of 3,500 employees, including Belarusian artists who are part of the troupe.

Moscow recently hosted a media expert seminar dedicated to theater art in the Union State. It was based on a program of cooperation between the Ministries of Culture of the two countries. The event, organized by the press center of the Russia Today information agency, featured 20 speakers. The discussion focused on modern trends and traditions in theater development and the establishment of large-scale tours on an ongoing basis, as it used to be before. The experts also considered setting up a summer school for young filmmakers and actors from the two countries. The forum results are currently being discussed by the Culture Ministries.

Plays of the nominees and winners of the Golden Mask Award will be broadcast at one of Belarusian cinemas.
