The Belarusian State Philharmonic Society hosts one of the brightest festivals of the year - the international festival of Yuri Bashmet.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko sent greetings to the participants of the 12th International Festival of Yuri Bashmet in connection with the opening of the music forum.
This year the 12th forum did not change its traditions and invited the most famous stars of music to Minsk. So the festival was opened by Maestro Bashmet himself. The State Symphony Orchestra New Russia has 100 performers, who arrived in Belarus for just one evening and to delight music lovers with a rich program of works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
Yuri Bashmet Festival will be held from September 27 to October 8. The main areas of the music forum will be the big and small hall of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society, a concert hall in Verkhni Gorod. The next concert at the festival poster will take place on September 29. It will be an evening of piano music by an outstanding Russian-Spanish pianist, laureate of international competitions Alexei Volodin, who will present a concert from the music of Medtner, Prokofiev, Rachmaninov.
