Today, on the first day of audition for the Eurovision 2016 national selection, 60 participants will perform for the jury in the 600 m studio. The country’s main media holding has received a total of about 100 applications from both solo artists and bands. Audition will be held live accompanied with music and (or) soundtracks recorded without vocals or vocal imitation. The panel of judges consists of well-known Belarusian artists Alexander Tikhanovich, Dmitry Koldun, Teo and Gyunesh, who will have selected no more than 15 finalists by 2 December.
According to Olga Schlyager, the head of the national selection for Eurovision 2016, auditions will take place on 26 November and 1 December.
The auditions will be held in an open format, with journalists accredited for the first national selection stage. The national selection round will be broadcast live at tvr.by.
