By Inna Pilevich: A ceremonial portrait of Michal Kazimierz Oginski, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth statesman, Oginski canal founder, patron and composer, will be presented today at the National Art Museum. The two-meter canvas is among the top 50 painting masterpieces kept at Belarus’ main art museum. Presumably, the portrait was painted by Dresden artist Anna Rosina Lisiewska in 1754.

The portrait will be presented to music composed by Michal Kleofas Oginski – the author of the famous polonaise regularly held concerts at the residence of his influential uncle.
