Today is the 80th anniversary of the birth of Victor Vuyachich. He was born in Kharkov, but he connected his entire life with Belarus. Here he met his creative rise and became a symbol of national songs.

The song Memory of the Heart opened the way to creative Olympus for Igor Luchenok and Victor Vuyachich. In 1960's they took the Grand Prix of the First All-Union Competition in Moscow, beating Mulerman and Kobzon.

The highest award of the all-union competition Vuyachich receives from the hands of Leonid Utesov. Luchenok and Victor Vuyachich performed in Latin America, where they were applauded by legendary Chilean Pablo Neruda, Victor Jara and Salvador Allende.

He traveled almost half the world! America, East Europe. Probably, it was he who brought to the Soviet stage the pop-European chic and dandy costumes. Vuyachich was almost the first Soviet artists who came on the scene in the classic tailcoat. Instead of a tie, he always has a stylish scarf. And his stage manner was in unison with his dignity - hasteless.

Seven years ahead of Alla Pugacheva Vuyachich received the Bulgarian Golden Orpheus. And at the end of the 1980's he headed the nostalgic festival Golden Hit in Mogilev. Victor Vuyachich passed away at the age of 65.
