Artist Roman Zaslonov to present his exhibition in Minsk today

3 декабря 2015

Roman Zaslonov, the grandson of the legendary partisan Konstantin Zaslonov, a graduate of the Belarusian Academy of Arts and a celebrity, will present his exhibition in Minsk today. The artist is personally mounting more than 40 works at the National Art Museum.

Zaslonov works in such genres as surrealism, fiction, theatre and neo-romanticism, his hallmark being the use of a bright, cheerful colour range. One of the main paintings of the Minsk exhibition is called Waiting for the Muse.

Roman Zaslonov is presenting such a large-scale solo exhibition in his homeland for the first time, although the artist can not be called a rare Minsk visitor - the Belarusian capital is home to one of his studios. The main venue of the artist's life and work is France, to where he moved in the late 1990s. However, he has always positioned himself as a Belarusian artist.
