The portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte made during his life was exhibited in Gomel-based Palace of Rumiantsev-Pakskevichs.  This is the only panel picture of the early 19th century, which preserved in Belarus. The panel was manufactured at Lion factory in 1804, when Napoleon Bonaparte was proclaimed Emperor.  From the time of Henri de Navarra everything, which was produced by Lion weavers, is characterized by refined taste and beautiful ornaments. Among the other famous exhibits of the Palace are the pictures of the Italian painter Petrocelli and the oeuvres of china works in St. Petersburg.
