The Petersburg artist is the first Russian painter who creates his works using oil.
Sixty-four grades of oil provide for sixty-four different shades of color. Fr om brown, almost black, to golden and transparent. The geography of natural deposits where the materials were extracted ranges from the Far East and Yakutia to Nigeria and Venezuela. The Belarusian oil is rare.
Finished paintings have no peculiar smells. Pictures are painted with conventional paint brushes, as well as special tools.
During the exhibitions of the painter, workshops are held wh ere everyone can paint a picture in oil.
