The Eurovision national selection final took place yesterday with a live broadcast on the TV channels Belarus 1 and Belarus 24. For the first time in the project’s history the viewers were able to watch the artists backstage – the 13 contestants were preparing to come on stage in the Green Room. Their performances were voted for by the viewers and a professional jury according to the 50:50 formula.
The winner is NAVIBAND with the Belarusian-language song Story of My Life.
The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest will take place in the Ukrainian capital Kiev in May to feature contestants from 43 countries.
