6 апреля 2020
Exhibition pavilions, art repositories, restoration workshops will make part of the Museum Quarter in the heart of the capital on the streets of Kirova, Lenina and Marksa. The condition of the paintings from the Russian Art Fund is now being checked.  Some canvases have never been seen by a modern viewer. Today is the premiere of works by Russian classics Gerasimov, Samokhvalov, Soloviev, Maltsev. The last time the paintings were presented at the postwar exhibition of industry and socialism in the middle of the last century.

They were rolled up in Minsk immediately after the Great Patriotic War, when the pillaged collection was almost formed anew. Today, the Soviet Russian art was examined, and Belarusian socialist realism is next.

The canvases have to be restored before they can be displayed. This will only be possible after the completion of the Museum Quarter on Kirova Str. Workshops are already being equipped, where specialists will be able to restore the paintings.
