The National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus will exhibit the world's masterpieces from Italy. The joint project is timed to the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The exhibition is organized within the framework of the year of the Italian culture in Belarus. Gerardo Dottori’s originals came from the Museum at the Palazzo della Penna in the Italian city of Perugia.

Stefano Bianchi, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Belarus: "This is a great opportunity to show that both Italy and Belarus belong to the common European cultural space. This year, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Italy and Belarus, as well as the 60th anniversary of the Rome Treaties."

The idea behind the exhibition is a dialogue between representatives of the Italian avant-garde movement, which spread in the early 20th century in Eastern Europe and influenced the Belarusian artists.
