National Art Museum Belarus presents works from the collection of Russian painting

"Apple trees at the fence" is a work Petr Konchalovsky, grandfather of famous directors Mikhalkov and Konchalovsky. The artist is also a student and son in law of the famous Vasily Surikov, master of historical paintings.

Many of the presented paintings were exhibited for the last time in the days of the USSR. Some of the paintings appeared in public for the first time.

The earliest paintings were created back in the 20s. Half a century of the history of Soviet art.

Echoes of the Soviet era, the motives of socialist realism are in the works of each artist, born in the USSR.
