National Arts Museum of Belarus celebrates 75th anniversary

By Elena Bormotova: The National Arts Museum of Belarus is currently hosting an exhibition of painters, sculptors, muralists who mark their anniversaries this year.



The large-scale anniversary exhibition titled The River of Time is an anthology of the Belarusian art of several centuries and consists of 181 works by 88 artists. The authors' age range varies from 60 to 160, with the oldest artist being Yehuda Pen, a representative of the Vitebsk school and Marc Chagall's apprentice.


Basically, the works exhibited belong to the National Arts Museum fund. Some of them, however, have never seen by the public as they are the property of collectors.
