Union State Day at Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk is dedicated to the friendship of all peoples and kinds of art. Participants of the children's music competition will hold a draw in a few hours. Adult contestants will perform in the semi-finals, following which 15 finalists will be announced.
Yesterday saw the festival’s sold-out opening ceremony attended by the President. Alexander Lukashenko traditionally presented awards to artists and the annual special award Through Art to Peace and Mutual Understanding. This year, it went to the National Academic Concert Orchestra under Mikhail Finberg.
The viewers were able to follow Slavic Bazaar’s 25-year history in photos and videos during a large-scale concert at the Summer Amphitheatre.
