By Larisa Gulyakevich: A Lithuanian collector of Belarusian origin, honorary patron Andrei Balyko has presented the Mir Castle Complex with a 19th-century furniture set. The historical and scientific department of the museum will thoroughly investigate the origin and historical value of the new exhibit to include its description in the catalog.

This is not the first gift donated to the Mir Castle by Andrei Balyko. In 2014, the castle’s hunting hall was decorated with a unique 19th-century furniture with authentic tapestry. Back then, the Lithuanian businessman and collector was awarded the honorary patron title by the Belarusian Culture Ministry. Balyko’s collections include ancient paintings, porcelain and valuable icons, which he plans to exhibit in Belarus.
