Less than a month remains until the opening ceremony of the Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk-2017. This year, a couple of alterations were made regarding the children's contest of performers.
The vocal competition will take place before the official start of the festival, and the names of the Grand Prix winners will be unveiled at the opening ceremony. The 130th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Belarusian artist Marc Chagall will become the leitmotif of the 26th music forum. Solo concerts will begin a few days before the festival and will last several days after the closing ceremony. The programme includes 18 vocal projects at the Vitebsk amphitheater. Within the framework of the Day of the Union State, Syabry ensemble and People's Artist of Belarus Anatoly Yarmolenko will celebrate their creative work. Several premier compositions will be presented. But it is yet to be confirmed whether the music forum will hear some of the famous songs from the repertoire of Jadwiga Poplavskaya. This is due to the fact that the famous composer, People's Artist of Belarus Eduard Hanok banned the use of the music of his most popular songs performed by these artists.
The reception of applications for participation in the contest of young performers has been completed. One representative from 21 countries will arrive in Minsk in early July, when rehearsals with the National Orchestra conducted by Mikhail Finberg will take place.
