Listapad holds early screening of spherical films

7 ноября 2017

The days of virtual reality, which start today in Minsk, will introduce modern VR-technologies to the audience.

Today, the relatively young spherical cinema has become an integral part of the largest cinematographic festivals, including Cannes. The Belarusian Listapad presents this format of films as well. The first 360° film for the attention of the Belarusians is the work of Russian director Mikhail Antykov.

The historical film Hermitage VR. Immersion in History with Konstantin Khabensky is a virtual journey through the interiors of the world-famous museum.

All films within the virtual reality day will be shown in the original language. The geography of the participating countries is wide: France, Germany, Great Britain, Russia. The program also includes a spherical film produced in Belarus. This is not a full-length movie: the duration of each film is about 10 minutes.

For the general public, 360° films will be shown today. In total, 17 films with the so-called full immersion effect will be presented.
