Famous virtuosos from France are in Minsk these days. Cello schools in France and Belarus are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their collaboration these days. On this occasion, a classical concert will be performed on the stage of the Belarusian State Philharmonic. The orchestra of the National Gymnasium-College directed by maestro Vladimir Perlin is taking part in the concert, as well as the cellist Jérôme Pernoo and the pianist Jérôme Ducros. The virtuosos from France are frequent guests of the Belarusian capital. They first visited Minsk 20 years ago. The musicians perform at the most prestigious world venues, such as Wigmore Hall in London and Theatre du Chatelet and Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris.

Jérôme Pernoo, a cellist (France): "It is an emotional moment for us, as we celebrate 20 years of joint work here in Minsk. Cellists who grew up in Belarus are so mature, their performing skills became higher, they perform on world venues, and it is very impressive."

Jérôme Ducros, a pianist (France): "This classical concert is a real retrospective of our relations with Belarus. The programme of the show has trio, solo and duets that we have already performed on this stage. We are ready to return to Minsk for every anniversary, and I know that our relationship is a long-lasting one."

Today, the French virtuosos Jérôme Pernoo and Jérôme Ducros will give a master class for students of the National Gymnasium-College at the Belarusian Academy of Music.
