Eurovision fan club supports NaviBand in Minsk

By Inna Pilevich: The second Eurovision semifinal was broadcast live on the TV channel Belarus 1 and the satellite channel Belarus 24, commented on in the Belarusian language for the first time. NaviBand were cheered for in Minsk by not only fans, but also by fellow artists.

The party started three hours before the broadcast, featuring the artists who several months ago had been NaviBand’s rivals in the national Eurovision selection.

Famous Ukrainian psychic Yakov Schneerson who attended the Belarusian Eurovision party tried to predict Eurovision semifinal results with the help of cards.

The event was broadcast live on the Internet.

NaviBand performed their song Story of my Life in the Belarusian language, advancing to the Grand Final together with Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Denmark, Israel, Romania, Norway, the Netherlands and Austria.

The Grand Final of the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest will take place tomorrow.
