True pearls of Belarusian land

Bu Nina Mozheyko: Today we will speak about the real gem of the Belarusian territory, the palaces and castles. Once upon a time there were more than a hundred of them. But only about ten of them survived.

The ruins of Gothic castle in Kosovo became a mystic scenery of the national film studio film based on the book of the Belarusian classic of the XIX century Jan Borshevsky.

Only the foundations of many other castles remained. The manor of the XVIII century was restored from a lithography. Last year the museum was visited by more than 23 thousand tourists from around the world.

Not far from Kosovo there is a Ruzhany Palace. Today it is included in the state program "Castles of Belarus".

They constitute not only national, but also the world heritage. Mir and Nesvizh are included in UNESCO's heritage list. Today the castles are top tourist destinations. A castle tour is part of a cultural pilgrimage in Belarus.
