On the eve of the 500th anniversary of the Belarusian printed book, the library of the Academy of Sciences has presented a fundamental two-volume book titled Polotsk Charters. This is an expanded collection, narrating about the life of the past centuries. The books are a national value. Specialists from abroad have already called them unique.

The collection includes 500 documents: from official documents to private correspondence.

Scientists have traveled all over Eastern Europe and studied the archives of neighboring countries. They were joined by researchers from Russia and Latvia.

The two-volume book includes dictionaries of the Polotsk printing house, textbooks from the Nesvizh library with Radziwill’s stamps. The book has already been called one of the most thorough studies of the book culture of medieval Europe.
