Wankowicz Family Museum House marks 15 years since large-scale renovation

9 июня 2015

By Nina Mozheiko: The old mansion in the centre of Minsk once belonged to the noble Wankowicz family. In the 19th century, it was home to a cousin of world-famous artist Walenty Wankowicz.

The interior of the house was reconstructed using literary and pictorial sources. All the exhibits are original and belong to the first half of the 19th century. The three halls were turned into portrait galleries, an integral part of the estate at the time. Until recently, the Museum House did not have any original works by the painter. The only portrait by Walenty Wankowicz from Belgazprombank’s corporate collection will be freely accessible from 10 June.
