Days of Belarusian culture to be held in UAE in 2018

Days of Belarusian culture will be held in the United Arab Emirates in 2018. This became known today during the opening of the cultural week of the UAE in Belarus at Mikhail Savitsky Art Gallery. The forum is timed to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The guests presented national clothes, mastery of Arabic calligraphy, and folk crafts. The exhibition is open through Thursday.

Yuri Bondar, the Minister of Culture of Belarus: "Such events create a very good foundation for further development of cultural cooperation. There are a number of successful examples of our cultural cooperation, ranging from tours, festivals of our folk groups to master classes and presentations of our youth culture in the UAE."

Walid Al Zaabi, the Director of Heritage and Arts Department of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development of the UAE: "We are pleased with this visit to Belarus. Our countries cooperate in various spheres and the cooperation is quite fruitful. I believe that fruitful cooperation begins when the people know and respect each other's culture, and this event proves this."

A delegation from the UAE, consisting of 50 people, will stay in Belarus until Saturday. On Wednesday, Belarusian performers and performers from the UAE will take part in a classical and folk music concert that will be held in the Belarusian Philharmonic. On Thursday, the UAE delegation will leave for Mogilev.
