Belarus to host Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018

The European Broadcasting Union approved the application of Minsk to hold the 16th Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2018. Belteleradiocompany – the main media holding of the country – will organize the large-scale project. In 2010, Belteleradiocompany already organized the Junior Eurovision Song Contest successfully. The team of professionals has already started developing the slogan and logo of the show. Soon, Jon Ola Sand, the Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest, will arrive in Minsk.

Meanwhile, the Belarusian participant at this year’s Junior Eurovision is preparing for the contest actively. Helena Meraai will perform the song I Am The One. Earlier, the young performer participated in filming a video for an acoustic version of her song.

Helena Meraai will travel to Tbilisi on 14 November. Ahead of the contest, the young performer will take part in the Days of Belarusian Culture in Georgia.

TV Channel Belarus 1 will televise the Junior Eurovision Song Contest live on 26 November.
