World Theatre Day is celebrated all over the world today. For over a quarter of a century now, Belarusian performing artists have celebrated their professional holiday with the Crystal Pavlinka Awards ceremony.
Over the years, Stefaniya Stanyuta and Gennady Garbuk, Valery Raevsky and Tamara Nizhnikova, Boris Lutsenko and Natalia Gaida became the laureates of the Theatre Workers' Union’s awards. In the history of the awards, there were also unique cases, when the statuette and the title of the laureate went to two actors at the same time! This year, the main prize was presented to the actress of the National Academic Theatre named after Yanka Kupala, People's Artist of Belarus Zinaida Zubkova.
Together with presenting the Crystal Pavlinka awards, the jury also announces the winners of the awards Crystal Flower, Crystal Angel, and Crystal Star.
