By Elena Bormotova: Over 150 original newspapers, pictures, posters, graphic artworks in the genre of satire, dating back to the Great Patriotic War, are currently on display at the Great Patriotic War Museum. Most of the exhibits, representing the creative component of struggle in the occupied territory of Belarus, were brought to the Museum by war veterans themselves. During the occupation Belarusian artists created millions of satirical drawings, posters and handwritten magazines. However, the works are rarely exhibited as the paper of the 1940s is very fragile.
