Tenth Gala for Orthodox youth takes place in Minsk

29 января 2018

Yesterday, Minsk hosted the tenth Gala for the Orthodox youth. The seven-hour holiday brought together over 700 people, all of them dressed according to the rules of a strict dress code.

An old code of conduct on the ball requires each participant to dance. This time, the programme of the gala included about 50 dance numbers from the Viennese waltz to the Argentine tango, from folk dances (Gypsy, Spanish, and Scottish) to modern ones – disco, boogie-woogie, and hustle.

The event opened with a prayer and then continued with dancing. Together with different dance directions, the gala united a variety of participants. The programme also included a dance for people with disabilities and even a military march.
